Two inland river auto ferries

There were once many small auto ferry barges such as these in use on the inland rivers. Some are still in operation today. The drawings show two typical ferries as designed by Wards in 1927. Both are drawn to 1:96th scale with details to larger scales. It is not known whether these designs were ever built. One sheet including two auto ferries, suggested color schemes and diagrams showing the pivoting attachment for the towboat and how the ferries were operated.
